Fees & Billing

Imaging @ Olympic Park has invested significantly in high-end imaging equipment, the best of its kind for Musculoskeletal Imaging. Along with this, our fees are based on the advanced experience of our Medical Imaging Technologists and our world-class Radiologists.

Fees will vary dependent on your procedure, our reception team will make you aware if any out of pocket costs are applicable prior to your appointment. 

Imaging @ Olympic Park has a full MRI Medicare licence.  Patients referred from specialists and selected studies from GPs will be bulk billed for their MRI scan in accordance with the Medicare benefits schedule.

MRI scans not meeting the criteria outlined above are required to pay a private fee for their MRI examination. All patients are required to settle their accounts on the day of service, the following methods of payment are accepted:

• Cash
• EFTPOS and;
• All Major Credit Cards (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX)

Patients referred by TAC, Workcover and Veteran Affairs are welcomed but must provide a pre-certification authority and sufficient claim details prior to a radiology service.

What's covered by Medicare?

In most instances we bulk bill diagnostic imaging to Medicare and interventional procedures will generally attract a fee. Please check with our team prior to your appointment.

Exceptions occur in cases where Medicare does not apply (e.g. some MRI services, or when Medicare does not fully cover the cost of providing the examination. Additional charges will also apply when a specialist radiologist performs interventional procedures.
