Is bulk-billing available for all procedures?
Most of the services at Imaging@Olympic Park are bulk billed, with the exceptional of interventional procedures. Our team will let you know if there are out of pocket costs for any part of your procedure when you confirm your booking.
What kind of referral forms do you accept?
We accept all medical imaging referral forms.
Am I able to get a scan without a referral from my doctor?
All services at Imaging@Olympic Park require a referral form. This is to ensure that everyone who needs our services can be scheduled in a timely manner and you are getting the correct service that you require as requested by your doctor.
Is an appointment required?
Yes, you will need to make an appointment prior to your procedure. Please contact our reception team or alternatively, you can complete the request an appointment form on our website to have a team member contact you to confirm your booking.
Can I book for an MRI and provide you with my referral later?
No, we require your MRI referral before your appointment so we can make sure you are accurately booked in for the scan required by your doctor. There are different types of MRI scans and they are all different, so we need to ensure that we have allocated enough time to complete your scan.
Do I have to be alone in the procedure room or can someone come in with me?
All support people accompanying you to your procedure will need to wait outside of the room, or they can also wait in the reception area. If you have any concerns or questions about this, please contact or speak to the reception team.
Why do I need to fast prior to my appointment and what does it mean?
For certain procedures, you will need to abstain from consuming food, water and other drinks for a specified time outlined by our team prior to your appointment. We will confirm these requirements for you including existing medication information.
Can I reach out to the radiologist to speak about my images?
Your referring doctor will be sent your results, and you will need to speak to them to access your results. However, we can provide you with a copy of your imaging.
Can I get the report sent to another doctor?
Your reports will be sent to referrer who requested your procedure. At Imaging@Olympic Park we can also send results to your other healthcare practitioners you nominate.
How long does it take to receive my results?
Our team work hard to turn our patients reports around as quickly as possible. Generally, your doctor will receive your report in 2-3 working days.
Can I use my private health insurance to cover the costs of the procedure?
At Imaging@Olympic Park we have an Accredited Day Procedure Centre where you private health insurance may be used for some procedures. Speak with our team to confirm if your procedure is covered.

In most instances, we bulk bill to Medicare, but it is important to check with our team prior to your service.
