The specialist team at Imaging @ Olympic Park are all leaders in their fields and have published articles in a wide range of journals locally and overseas.
Imaging @ Olympic Park will as part of its charter produce published research and present their research at national and international meetings.
Imaging @ Olympic Park is a specialist diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal imaging centre in the centre of Melbourne’s sporting precinct that offers two musculoskeletal (MSK) radiology fellowships each year. The fellowship positions start in February and September. Candidates with full RANZCR and AHPRA registration are eligible for both positions; whereas international candidates are only eligible for the fellowship position starting in September via our affiliation with the Monash Health Radiology Department.
Due to the nature of the practice, short-term observerships are generally not possible, except in special circumstances.
Each 12 month position provides the fellow extensive experience with supervised reporting of diagnostic examinations (MRI, ultrasound, CT and x-ray) and image-guided musculoskeletal intervention, including radiofrequency treatment. The Fellow is expected to publish at least one research manuscript and present at national and international meetings during the term of the position. The Fellow also presents the weekly Orthopaedic, Sports Medicine and Allied Health (OSMAH) MDM Meetings, and is expected to participate in Allied Health and GP Education Sessions.
Some of our Education and Research activities and areas of interest include:
- Radiologist and Medical Imaging Technologist training
- Stem Cells and Growth Factors
- Ultrasound Anatomy
- Rotator Cuff
- T2 Mapping
